Dressing for work should be FUN – not boring and frustrating. Just because you can’t wear yoga pants to work (or maybe you can and I am jealous), does not mean you have to dread shopping for work clothes! There are so many cute work clothes for women that you can find for good prices. These are 7 of the best stores to buy work clothes for women.
These stores have the crème de la crème of work clothing……
1. Ann Taylor
Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft have great business attire, and they usually have some great sales going on. I recommend Ann Taylor to EVERYONE.
Ann Taylor clothing is incredibly well made, so these items should last you throughout a large portion of your career. My absolute favorite and most complimented work outfits are from here!
I get my staple business pieces from here (I bought a pair of lilac pants from Ann Taylor that are to die for). There is even a section of already-put-together business casual outfits on their website in case you need some inspiration. Their pencil skirts are KILLER. They are the perfect length.
Bonus: The clothing is so diverse in sizes and pant-lengths! The tops range from 00 to 18, and the pants come in both “regular”, “petite”, and “tall” lengths. I am 5’4″ so I get the Petite length in pants!
2. Zara
Every time I see a co-worker wearing cute work pants, they tell me they got them from Zara! Zara offers modern office wear for a decent price. You will see Zara clothes EVERYWHERE on Instagram because they are adorable, trendy, and (mostly) classy.
3. Lulu’s
Lulu’s has an entire collection of office clothing. You can get high-quality clothing for a pretty decent price. They also have an extensive selection of office-appropriate shoes and accessories!

4. TJ Maxx
The first place I went looking for business clothing was TJ Maxx. Their prices can’t be beat. You can purchase a ton of shirts at TJ Maxx for the price of one nice shirt at a department store.
Stock up on some hair accessories while you’re shopping at TJ Maxx. It’s always nice to have cute hair ties, clips, and headbands for bad-hair days.
Check out your local TJ Maxx because you can usually find more options in the stores than online!
5. Express
Express is a staple department store for business clothes. The clothes are well-made and the pants and pencil skirts are super flattering. Express is not a cheap store, but you are paying for great-quality clothes that should last you a long time. They usually have some good sales going on, too!

6. Nordstrom
Another great option for when you’re looking for high-end clothing at lower-end prices. They have a huge selection of blouses, pants, shoes, jewelry, accessories, and more.
7. Spanx
Spanx is super expensive, but it’s worth the cost. The work pants from Spanx are so flattering and comfortable. You may as well be wearing yoga pants when you’re wearing Spanx. They look professional while feeling like butter on your skin. You can wear these for YEARS, too. It truly is a win-win situation.
Bonus: Shoes
DSW
DSW is one of the best places to buy shoes for work. They have every kind of shoe you could think of, and there are always sales. Plus, there’s a huge clearance rack in the back. You get designer shoes for affordable prices. I went to DSW in the beginning of my job-search and was able to get about 6 pairs of shoes for super cheap! They are high-quality.
I bought these pink Marc Fisher heels for about $30 (the retail price is $175!).
These are some of the best places to buy work clothes for women. I hope you have found some new places, and be sure to let me know what your favorite clothing stores are in the comments below!
