Valentine’s Day 2022 falls on a Monday this year. That means it is a great day to show some love to your co-workers and people in your office. There are so many great Valentine work ideas to bring some Valentine’s Day festivities to your workplace, have some fun, and show your co-workers how much you appreciate them.
You can celebrate with your loved ones over the weekend and make it a Valentine’s work week! Here are some Valentine work ideas to make it a fun Valentine’s work week:
1. Make Valentines For Your Co-Workers
You don’t have to spend a lot of time or money on this. Visit the Dollar Tree and find small, cute Valentine’s Day treats and knick-knacks to hand out.
Try to avoid giving your co-workers anything that looks inappropriate or romantic – that could get really awkward and could potentially get you a one-way ticket to HR. Choose the safe route of finding a Valentine suited for a platonic friend or acquaintance.
2. Decorate Your Work Space
Target, Walmart Supercenter, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and more stores have adorable Valentine’s Day decorations you can get for a good price. Make your desk festive with some pink and red writing utensils, notebooks with hearts, flowers, and Valentine candy!
You can fill a jar with some Candy Hearts or Hershey Kisses for added decor.
3. Start A Secret Valentine Chain
Give someone a thoughtful Valentine gift that is customized for that specific person. Leave a note saying “You have been Hugged. Now it’s your turn to give out a Valentine to someone in the office.”
You can leave the brightly-colored “Hugged” note out on your desk so you don’t get “Hugged” more than once and everyone has a chance to get something fun.
4. Make Valentine Treats for the Breakroom
There are so many adorable Valentine’s Day treats you can make for your workplace. Be sure to send an email letting everyone know you brought some Valentine’s Day treats!
Tip: Try to avoid making anything with peanuts since a ton of people are allergic to them.
Here are a few options:
5. Have a Valentine’s Mixer
Check in with your work’s Employee Engagement or Party Planning Group to make sure it’s okay to throw a lunchtime or end-of-day Valentine’s Day soiree.
You can decorate a breakroom or empty room in the office with Valentine’s Day decorations, put out some sweet treats, make some work-appropriate pink punch, play some fun music, and have a Valentine’s Day mixer with your co-workers!
Don’t forget to wear a cute Valentine’s Day outfit to your Valentine’s Day party! Here are some cute options that are work appropriate.
